The Honest Truth: Our Anti-Roadmap

It’s time for NFT projects to be honest. By being the first ones to show what Teslon Mars is NOT about, we are hoping to send a signal to the market and to future NFT collections.

In the past 12 months, the NFT space has been virtually overwhelmed with a large number of copy-cat projects, overpromising and underdelivering ever so often. We are not another collection that will promise the moon and deliver nothing in return. We are not ones to use big words and brag about our team’s hugely successful careers in some NFT-related areas. We are not tech geniuses, socialites or moguls trying to gain audience by all means. We are Elon Musk and Mars enthusiasts and hope to build a community that shares the same values. And the first thing to do is to be fully transparent.

In a nutshell, Teslon Mars:

Is NOT promising to create a groundbreaking AAA game

with immersive technology that will create a truly unique and engaging experience for gamers, disrupting multiple industries. In fact, we love playing video games, but we are not experienced in creating them and it makes no point to start something that has small chances of success.

Will NOT create a decentralized autonomous organization

Teslon Mars does not promise any DAO to bring forward a paradigm shift in the very fabric of economic organizations, with gazillions in profits in record time. We strongly believe in the need of DAOs, but this should not be the endpoint of an NFT collection.

Our team is NOT comprised of social media celebrities

We are not backed by NFT gurus, we are not Hollywood movie actors or acclaimed sport stars, and to our knowledge we have not inherited generational wealth that instantly makes us top IG influencers. We are regular people and want to address a like-minded community to our best ability.

Teslon Mars is NOT yet another monkey-styled NFT project

Our project is not about apes, chimpanzees, baboons, macaques, mandrills, marmosets, or capuchins. We really love the BAYC collection and some of its derivatives such as MAYC, HAPE, or SABC. But seriously now, this space has been covered more than enough. We don’t like being copy-cats, especially if that does not bring something of value to our community.

We are NOT promising charity donations

All our Teslon Mars team members are engaged in various charities in their personal life. We believe they are an important instrument to respond to critical social needs. Although we strongly believe in the general need to promote and support charities, we prefer not to take someone else’s money with a promise of charity just as a marketing practice to sell NFTs.

Teslon Mars is NOT engaged into advancing the metaverse

Virtual reality is truly part of the future of our civilization, but we are not a dedicated studio nor we think that putting screens in front of our eyes can bring us there. As Elon Musk said, a sophisticated version of Neuralink could act in the future as an immersive interface to put people in virtual reality. When that time comes, we are looking forward to take part in it, that’s for sure!

Teslon Mars will NOT create its own cryptocurrency

On mid-February 2022, there were 10,397 cryptocurrencies on the market. We see no reason to burn gas and affect the carbon footprint just to brag on yet another coin with no actual use to our community or advancing Elon’s mission to make humans a multiplanetary species.

TeslonMars NFT is based on real-life events and achievements of Elon Musk. This project celebrates everything he’s done for science and space exploration, and you’ll be able to explore famous moments from his life like never before.

First of all, you will find in TeslonMars some real cool collectible art made by award-winning artist Ovidiu Stanciu.

Secondly, we feel that the NFT space is overcrowded with pixelated art, monkeys and some other characters that tell no real story. This is why we chose to tell and illustrate the story with real life events one of the great leaders of our times – Elon Musk.

Besides that, we offer a lot of really cool token utilities that may have never seen on other projects. You can see more details by continuing to read the FAQ.

The NFTs are minted on ERC-721 compliant contracts deployed to the Ethereum blockchain. This is the “gold standard” and most widely-supported format for digital collectibles.

Moreover, we used the best practices of Azuki to improve the ERC-721 implementation, with significant gas savings for minting multiple NFTs in a single transaction.

There is a total number of 10,000 tokens – that is Teslonians, available to mint in this collection.

Yes. TeslonMars tokens can be resold on NFT marketplaces such as OpenSea and Rarible etc. If a TeslonMars token is resold there will be a 5% royalty fee to TeslonMars.

There are three mint prices tiers, depending on the minting cycle.

  • If you are participating in the Whitelist sale, then the mint price will be 0.075 ETH + gas fees;
  • For the Presale, the mint price will be 0.09 ETH + gas fees;
  • The Teslonians participating in the Public Sale will be able to mint the tokens for 0.1 ETH.

For Whitelist spots, you will be able to mint as much as 5 tokens.

For the Presale, the mint limit is set at 10 tokens.

For the Public Sale, you will be able to mint a max of 20 tokens.

We decided to enable multiple mints on TeslonMars because we use the ERC721A standard, which is highly efficient in terms of gas used (please see the gas fees FAQ for more details).

Once you own a TSLM token, you will receive full intellectual property of it, together with full commercial rights. As long as you hold the token, you will be able to use it on any merchandise you want. Moreover, you will also receive a very large resolution image of the NFT you minted.

In order to purchase a TeslonMars NFT, you will need to conduct two important steps. First, you will need to purchase ETH from a cryptocurrency exchange such as Coinbase, Gemini, or Binance. Once you have completed that step, you will need to transfer your ETH into a non-custodial digital wallet like MetaMask, Portis, or WalletConnect compatible wallets. These wallets connect to the TeslonMars website and allow you to purchase an NFT. For your reference, the FAQ section also contains educational content outlining in detail how to set up a crypto wallet, as well as the basic steps to take to send ETH to your wallet.

The smart contract of TeslonMars uses the best practices of ERC721A created by the Azuki team. The goal of ERC721A is to provide a fully compliant implementation of IERC721 with significant gas savings for minting multiple NFTs in a single transaction. The TeslonMars token as an art and collectible lasts forever.

To make sure no funny business goes on in the minting period, the tokens will be sorted completely randomly. Additionally, there is a number of only 5 tokens to be distributed to the founders, while the rest of 9,995 will be available to the market.

We will provide up to 2,000 whitelist spots, leaving the rest for the following sale stages. We will allow multiple mints per user, leaving it up to them to decide if they are willing to hold more tokens.

To avoid gas price spikes, we will allow 1 week for each minting stage. Should the tokens sell out before the Public Sale stage, the reveal will be made 1 week after the final sale. We will announce the reveal date both on discord and via an airdrop announcement to your wallet (check the hidden section of your OpenSea account for updates).

Planet Mars

Yes, one of the perks of owning a TeslonMars NFT is that you will receive real land on Planet Mars. How come? It’s quite simple, but it comes with a caveat.

Mars belongs to everybody, according to the Outer Space Treaty, which the United States signed back in 1967. The treaty says nobody can own a celestial body.

NFT stands for “Non-fungible token” and is a cool way of saying it’s a truly unique digital item that YOU can buy, own, and trade.

We suggest Metamask and wallets that support WalletConnect (Rainbow.me, etc.).

Metamask is a crypto-wallet that can store your Ethereum, and is needed to purchase and mint a TeslonMars NFT. Having a wallet gives you an Ethereum address (i.e. 0xSPOO….666), this is where your NFT will be stored. Learn more about Metamask and how easy it is to use over here! (https://metamask.io).

If you are using a mobile phone to mint our lovely TeslonMars NFT, you need to use the Metamask application built-in browser to mint our NFTs. Therefore, please launch the Metamask application, click the 3 lines on the top left menu in the application and select “Browser”. It will open a web browser and you will be able to navigate back to TeslonMars.com to do the minting.

If you are using a computer to mint our lovely TeslonMars NFT, you just need to connect the Metamask plugin with our website, verify you have enough Ethereum to do the transaction, then you will be able to click on the Mint button to buy a few TeslonMars NFTs.

Get the Metamask Chrome or Firefox extension. Load it with ETH through services that allow you to change your money to ETH like Coinbase, Binance or Kraken. Then, click the button “MINT” on the scary banner to connect your wallet and approve the transaction on Metamask. That’s it !

Your TeslonMars NFT will appear in whatever address, or connected wallet you used to purchase the Teslonian. You can see your freshly minted NFT card directly on your Opensea.io account.

You are free to do anything with them under a non-exclusive license. TeslonMars adheres to the ERC-721 standard so you can trade them on platforms like OpenSea.
